Cafe Juanita Chef de Cuisine Joins James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour
An all-star cast of top chefs from Seattle and Boston will be working their culinary magic at the James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour when it makes its only stop in Washington State this year at Novelty Hill Januik Winery in Woodinville on Thursday, June 16 at 6:30 pm.
Cafe Juanita’s chef de cuisine Lauren Thompson is one of five featured chefs preparing an unforgettable multi-course feast that Seattle foodies won’t want to miss. Named to Seattle Met’s “Next Hot Chef” list in 2015, Lauren has spent the past decade working alongside Cafe Juanita’s Holly Smith and Lark’s Jonathan Sundstrom. The Zimbabwe born, Texas raised chef told Seattle Met last year, “I am fanatical about seasonal ingredients,” and her passion for fresh food will take center stage at the June dinner. She will prepare Gnocchi Alla Romana Peas, Pancetta and 30 Month Parmigiano-Reggiano served alongside the Andrew Januik Stone Cairn Cabernet Sauvignon.
Tickets to the James Beard Celebrity Chef Tour are $200 per person. Seating is limited.
