Ratings & Awards
One Winemaking Legacy, Three Distinct Labels
Mike Januik has spent more than four decades establishing himself as one of Washington State’s most decorated winemakers. He serves as head winemaker for both Novelty Hill and Januik Winery. His son, Andrew Januik, crafts Andrew Januik Wines. Together, the three labels have earned more than 1,000 ratings of 90 points or higher. Wine Enthusiast named Mike one of only ten “Masters of Merlot” worldwide, and across his career — including his time at Snoqualmie and Chateau Ste. Michelle — Mike’s wines have earned 13 Wine Spectator “Top 100” awards.
More than 1,000 90+ Rated Wines
Novelty Hill
Novelty Hill wines have earned more than 340 ratings of 90 points or higher from leading wine critics, including two selections for Wine Spectator’s “Top 100.” Among those accolades are more than 160 90-plus-point ratings for the winery’s estate-grown, single-vineyard wines from Stillwater Creek Vineyard.
Januik Winery
Since founding his namesake winery in 1999, Mike Januik has built one of Washington’s most decorated winemaking careers. Wine Enthusiast named him one of only ten “Masters of Merlot” worldwide, and Januik Winery wines have earned two Wine Spectator “Top 100” selections, part of the 13 he’s earned across his full career, and more than 590 ratings of 90 or higher under the Januik Winery label.
Andrew Januik Wines
Since launching his label in 2011, Andrew Januik has earned over 140 ratings of 90 points or higher. Andrew was named a Zagat “30 Food, Beverage and Hospitality Rising Stars Under 30” honoree in 2016 and received the Auction of Washington Wines’ Emerging Leader award in 2022.
