Inside Novelty Hill-Januik’s Woodinville Wine Club

August 17, 2026 | News

Lush, native Northwest gardens, expansive patios, and open-air terraces set the scene for summer evenings at Novelty Hill-Januik, where great Washington wine, seasonal fare, and easy conversation invite guests to linger. At a recent Cellar Circle party, it was easy to see that this Woodinville wine club is about much more than the wine members take home. Customizable wine selections, member-only events, and regular opportunities to meet at the winery all help shape the Cellar Circle experience.

In July, members gathered for the annual summer release party to enjoy award-winning wines, casual seasonal fare prepared by the in-house culinary team, and time with the winemakers. Friends caught up. New friendships formed, and throughout the evening, members shared something they had in common: a love of good wine and the pleasure of enjoying it together.

That sense of connection is at the heart of Novelty Hill-Januik’s Cellar Circle.

A Wine Club That Gives You a Reason to Come Back

Guests toast with glasses of wine at a summer wine club event at Novelty Hill-Januik while chefs cook outdoors on the barbecue.

Joining a wine club may start with the wine, but the best memberships offer much more.

At Novelty Hill-Januik’s Woodinville tasting room, Cellar Circle members gather throughout the year for release parties, seasonal events, and winemaker dinners, with opportunities to meet winemakers Mike Januik and Andrew Januik, discover new releases, and experience more of the winery.

For anyone comparing the best wine clubs in Woodinville, that kind of access matters. Membership creates an ongoing connection to the winery and the people behind the wines.

Wine and Food Belong Together

Wine has a natural place around the table, and Novelty Hill-Januik’s in-house culinary team makes food an integral part of the winery experience. Executive Chef Tanner Smith creates seasonal dishes with the wines in mind, from thoughtfully paired multi-course winemaker dinners to more casual events like a summer barbecue on the patio.

At a recent summer Cellar Circle gathering, the menu leaned into the flavors of the season with salads including Little Gem lettuce and baby spinach with grilled peaches, blueberries, goat cheese, candied pecans, and honey-Dijon vinaigrette; farro with roasted zucchini, peppers, corn, and cherry tomatoes; and watermelon with cucumber, feta, mint, Thai basil, pickled shallots, and lime vinaigrette. A build-your-own slider station featured smoked pulled pork and beef burgers, while snow cones offered a playful finish.

A DJ spinning tunes helped set the mood, giving the afternoon an upbeat, backyard-party feel.

The wines were just as varied, from Spring Run Rosé and newly released whites such as Januik Cerulean and Novelty Hill Stillwater Creek Roussanne to reds including Novelty Hill Stillwater Creek Vineyard Malbec and Januik Weinbau Vineyard Cabernet Sauvignon. Together, the menu and wine lineup captured the evening’s relaxed, mix-and-match spirit.

A Wine Club That Builds Community

Over time, these gatherings become about more than the events themselves. Members get to know the winery team, reconnect with familiar faces, and form friendships with others who share an interest in wine.

That sense of belonging and a place to come together in Woodinville wine country is an important part of the Cellar Circle.

The wine brings members together, while the friendships offer another reason to return.

How Does a Wine Club Membership Work?

For anyone new to wine clubs, the idea is simple. Members receive wine several times during the year and get added benefits in return. A look through Cellar Circle selections shows the range of wines members have received over the years.

Novelty Hill-Januik offers several membership options based on wine preferences, including white, mixed, and red wine selections. Members also enjoy savings on wine, complimentary tastings, invitations to private events, and access to member-only wines.

Just as importantly, members can customize allocations. Rather than receiving a fixed selection with each shipment, members can adjust their wines based on what they enjoy drinking and what they want to add to their cellar.

Love Cabernet Sauvignon? Add more. Discover a new favorite during a tasting? Include it in the next allocation. That flexibility allows the club to accommodate members’ personal tastes while still offering opportunities to discover something new.

Find Your Place in the Cellar Circle

There are many Woodinville wineries to visit, which is part of what makes wine tasting near Seattle so much fun.

Joining a wine club is different. It creates a relationship with one winery and gives you a reason to keep coming back.

At Novelty Hill-Januik, that relationship includes award-winning wines, access to the winemakers, food from an on-site culinary team, member-only events, customizable allocations, and a community built around a shared love of wine.

The recent summer Cellar Circle party captured all of that in one evening. The wine brought everyone together. The experience gave them a reason to stay.
