Fall 2019 Cellar Circle Wines
The chilly morning air and shorter daylight hours signal the return of fall, a season that has us reaching for sweaters by day and a glass of red wine by night.
This quarter’s Cellar Circle offerings showcase a selection of wines that capture the best of the 2017 growing season, a vintage marked by a hot, dry summer that gave way to warm autumn days and cool nights. Near perfect harvest conditions slowed ripening just enough to give the grapes plenty of time to develop fully. The wines are fresh and expressive, with outstanding flavor and structure.
Platinum members will take home three limited release reds, all fine examples of the vintage: 2017 Januik Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon; 2017 Januik Weinbau Vineyard Cabernet Franc; and the debut release of Novelty Hill’s new 2017 Oxbow, a Grenache, Syrah and Mourvèdre blend.
Gold and Silver members will enjoy the 2017 Januik Red Mountain Cabernet Sauvignon, featuring a selection of winemaker Mike Januik’s favorite Red Mountain vineyards, and the 2017 Novelty Hill Stillwater Creek Vineyard Sangiovese, perfect for a Friday night pizza party or as an accompaniment to a homemade pot of spaghetti.
Revel in the color and festivities of season, along with these delicious reds!
