Novelty Hill-Januik Executive Chef Seth Fernald joined the winery in the spring of 2014, bringing a rich culinary background honed over 20 years in New England.
On his arrival in the Pacific Northwest in 2013, Seth joined James Beard award-winning chef Tamara Murphy as Executive Sous Chef at Seattle’s Terra Plata restaurant. He is an active support of Seattle’s Fare Start, a program that helps people transform their lives through culinary arts job training.
Before moving to the Northwest, Seth served as Senior Chef at Journeyman restaurant in Somerville, Mass. Prior to joining Journeyman, Seth held Executive Chef positions at a variety Boston area restaurants and private clubs. He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Culinary Arts from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, Rhode Island.
