The Columbia Valley is wonderfully suited to ripen Petit Verdot, and Ciel du Cheval Vineyard on Red Mountain gets it right every year. While this grape is typically used for blending, we liked the dark fruit flavors and concentration of this wine so much, we decided to showcase it in its own right. Wine Advocate rated the 2003 vintage 92+ pts., the 2004 vintage 91pts., the 2005 vintage 92pts., and the 2006 vintage 90pts.
